Keith Hudson: Rasta Communication - 1979

It was one of those enjoyable roots albums from the late seventies, like those from Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs and Bunny Wailer from the same period.

Highlights are the gruff, insistent roots of Rasta Communication, the eminently pleasing skank of the subtly bassy Felt We Felt The Strain, the gritty roots of Rasta Country and the yearning Bloody Eyes

Check out that great bass on the crucial DJ-ish I Broke The Comb. the tuneful, upbeat Musicology and I'm No Fool is excellent too, in fact all the tracks are - none of them are weak. The Greensleeves remaster has great sound quality as well.

Also from Keith Hudson, and roots albums, are Too Expensive from 1976 and the dubby Playing It Cool from 1981.
